Our new wheels…

It took a bit longer than we planned, in fact it was a bit of nightmare! But with the help of a great team at SignRight, the creative talents from Cherly D`Arcy and many hands helping back at the farm we got Gerty on the road and we are ever so slightly in love with her.

You would think that it would be sensible to have our first outing with our new wheels close to home in case of any problems. No, not us – we hitched Gerty on and headed up the motorway to Lesmahagow Young Farmers 75thAnniversary Field Day.  We nearly lost a 4 pack of Kitchen Roll on route when the side door flew open but apart from that it all went well!

From then its been a full on summer with Gerty out most weekends, shaking up fresh milkshakes at local shows, vintage tractor clubs, weddings, school fates, food festivals, car rally’s, sport events, you name it we have been at it. We even made a trip over to the Scottish Borders to the Border Union Show.
