Hello im Elizabeth, better known as Beth. I started life as a dairyman’s daughter, and was very keen to get up at 4am to help my dad before going to school. When I was young, people called me ‘My Dad’s Shadow’ as I was never far behind him.
In my years as a young woman, I had a few jobs between Auchencairn and Glasgow. At the age of 24 I got married and became the wife of a soldier. During this time, my husband was away a lot in various locations, I did feel like a single parent to 2 young children, who were my absolute rocks during this whole time. When my husband retired from the military, we moved back to Auchencairn, where it had all began.
My previous job before working at Roan’s Dairy – I worked at The Tee Room and Craigieknowes Golf Course at Kippford, as this was a seasonal job, my then boss – Aylett Roan, asked me if I was available to help out in the office at Roan’s Dairy a few days a week. 4 Years later, I’m still here Monday to Friday.
My Spare time is taken up with my Children, Pets, Walking, Cycling and Various Clubs.
If I could no longer live in Dumfries and Galloway, where would I choose to live and why? – Australia for the heat! Or Glasgow for the Banter!
What’s my favourite season of the year? Spring – love watching the lambs skipping in the fields and love to watch the cow’s running and skipping as they go out to the grass.
What is my favourite food? – Hubby’s Macaroni Cheese, oh and his cheesecakes too…
Give 3 top Uses for Baler Twine – Dog Lead, Tying Gates, my dad used to use Baler Twine to hold his Waterproof Trousers Up.Back to The Team
